Subject: Urban Parks Art Program Annoucement and Ask!

Good morning,

I wanted to give you all a heads up about DSA’s new art program that we are kicking off in April. We felt that creating a more comprehensible seasonal program for both Occidental and Westlake Parks would give a wider audience opportunity to partake in creating works for these fantastic urban spaces. As you can see in the description the program is organized very similarly to Seattle Parks Department’s Art in Parks Program which is no longer offered in Downtown or Center City Parks. This similar structure was an intentional attempt at making participation a recognizable process.

I would love if you could share this program widely amongst your own networks. We as always want these public spaces be a reflection of all of our unique and amazing community and, as I don’t need to tell all of you, art plays a critical role in that reflection.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments to:  callsforartists@downtownseattle.orgmailto:callsforartists@downtownseattle.org

Best,
Erica
