The comments on eggs and bread: If you buy eggs which have never been refigerated (chicken farm) and turn them every week, they will last for months. Another trick is to coat the eggs with vasolene--then you don't need to turn. These folks don't have one cruising essential which I had: Marie. Marie loves to cook bread--and there is nothing better than comming off watch to snack on fresh bread! Many folks use a bread maker, run on an inverter, lacking an oven. Not quite up to the yeast bread, which rises in the engine room, but better than doing without! Bob Austin.
