BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK (Essex): Peter Veighey found five birds at
Hillman Marsh on April 27.
Eurasian Wigeon (Brant): The male was seen again at Blue Creek pond by
several observers April 23-24.
Eurasian Wigeon (Elgin): Zac Fedder and Paul Nicholson found a male at Port
Stanley Sewage Lagoons on APril 22 that continued to at least April 24.
King Eider (Toronto): The young male present the last two weeks off Marilyn
Bell Park and Ontario Place continued all week.
Harlequin Duck (Durham): The male continued off Thickson's Point to at
least April 25.
Barrow's Goldeneye (Lanark): Britta Herrmann and Mike Runtz found a male at
the Almonte Lagoons April 24-25.
Eurasian Collared-Dove (Chatham-Kent): The Shrewsbury bird, found March 2
by Steve Charbonneau, was reported to at least April 23 this week.
American Avocet (Chatham-Kent): Dolan Bohnert reported two birds at Keith
McLean CA on April 23.
American Avocet (Essex): A flock of 56 was seen by many observers at
Hillman Marsh on April 24.
American Avocet (Norfolk): Stu Mackenzie reported seven at LPBO's
breakwater station on April 22.
Marbled Godwit (Chatham-Kent): Elizabeth and Paul Hunter photographed five
birds at Keith McLean CA on April 26.
Marbled Godwit (Essex): At least two birds were at Hillman Marsh on April
25.
Marbled Godwit (Norfolk): One bird was off Old Cut and Long Point
Provincial Park on April 24.
Western Sandpiper (Essex): Up to two birds were reported from Hillman Marsh
on APril 22 and 23.
Willet (Chatham-Kent): Four birds were at Keith McLean CA on APril 23 and
Nine were reported from Rondeau Bay on April 24.
Willet (Essex): As many as 20 were reported from Hillman Marsh April 24-27
and three were reported from Fish Point on Pelee Island on April 27.
Willet (Hamilton): Rob and Mike Waldhuber reported one at Confederation
Beach on April 24.
Franklin's Gull (Essex): Jacob Stasso found a Franklin's Gull at Hillman
Marsh on April 27 that was seen by many.
Snowy Egret (Hamilton): Barry Cherriere found one at Windermere Basin on
April 25.
Cattle Egret (Halton): Dominik Halas found one at Zachary Pond in Oakville
on April 26 and what may have been the same bird was found by Jeffrey Huang
on April 27 at Alton Ponds (also called Swan Lake).
Black Vulture (Bruce): Zane Shantz reported one fly over near Miller Lake
on April 27.
Black Vulture (Essex): Daniel Daugherty reported one over Leamington on
April 27.
Black Vulture (Lanark): Gerard Phillips photographed one over his yard
north of Merrickville on April 27.
Black Vulture (Niagara): Three birds were reported from Queenston this
week, on April 22.
SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER (Northumberland): one bird was found on Bayshore
Drive on April 27 but not identified. It was found and identified on April
28 and then subsequently seen by many.
Loggerhead Shrike (Norfolk): The bird found by Steve Wilcox on April 20
along Wester Quarter Line north of Concession A was seen until April 23.
MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD (Wellington): After being refound a few weeks ago by
Curtis Combdon the wintering bird in Guelph was reported several times to
April 23.
EURASIAN TREE SPARROW (Norfolk): One bird was photographed at the tip of
Long Point on April 22.
Lark Sparrow (Chatham-Kent): Blake Mann found one on April 23 along the
Marsh Trail at Rondeau and another bird was found by Steve Charbonneau at
Keith McLean CA on April 26-27.
Lark Sparrow (Essex): Several birders had one fly south off the tip of
Point Pelee on April 24.
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW (Waterloo): Georg Hentsch's bird at his feeders on
Bannister Lake was reported to at least April 22.
Harris's Sparrow (Prescott and Russell): The bird at 1696 Vankleek Hill Rd
remained all week.
Worm-eating Warbler (Chatham-Kent): Craig Anderson reported one at Rondeau
on April 24.
Worm-eating Warbler (Essex): Tristan Jobin found one just north of the
Sparrow Field at Point Pelee on April 27.
Worm-eating Warbler (Middlesex): Lucas Foerster found one at Westminster
Ponds Park in London on April 24.
Kentucky Warbler (Essex): Jim Burk found one along the NW Beach at Point
Pelee on APril 24. Michael McAllister found another at the Cactus Field at
Point Pelee on April 25.
Kentucky Warbler (Niagara): Ron Laroche found one that was enjoyed by many
at Morgan's Point on April 24 that continued to April 26.
Kentucky Warbler (Norfolk): One bird was seen by many near the entrance to
Long Point Provincial Park on April 24 and continued to April 26. Another
bird was banded at the LPBO Old Cut station on April 26.
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER (AUDUBON'S) (Norfolk): A young male was banded at
LPBO's tip station on APril 26.
Yellow-throated Warbler (Essex): Cameron Chevalier and Michael McAllister
found one near the tip of Point Pelee on APril 27.
Yellow-throated Warbler (Norfolk): One bird was seen by many near the
maintenance yard of Long Point Provincial Park on APril 24.
Yellow-throated Warbler (Peel): Marvin and Janet Medelko found one at
Richard Jones Park in Mississauga on April 22 that continued to April 24.
Yellow-throated Warbler (Waterloo): Shirley Bauman found one at Columbia
Lake on April 25 that was seen by several other birders to April 26.
Yellow-throated Warbler (Wellington): The bird found April 16 by Kristyn
Ferguson and Sofia Becerra at the correctional ponds in Guelph was seen by
many again on April 22.
Summer Tanager (Chatham-Kent): At least one bird was at Rondeau on April 24.
Summer Tanager (Essex): One bird was at Fish Point, Pelee Island on APril
24. At least two birds were at Point Pelee on April 24.
Summer Tanager (Norfolk): Up to two birds were at Long Point Provincial
Park on April 24.
Summer Tanager (Waterloo): Dawn Vanwyck photographed one at her feeders
north of Elmira on April 24 and remained to at least April 28.
WESTERN TANAGER (Bruce): One bird was seen by many visiting a feeder near
Lion's Head on April 24-27.
Dickcissel (Haldimand): Kendra Steeves has a bird coming to their feeders
near Peacock Point, present since at least late March and reported on
several days this week.
