FYI the magazine "Power Cruising"  (I have no connection) features in
it's October issue "The Power of Cats". Nice read with articles of the
gathering popularity of power cats. Just thought I'd pass this along.

but the photo enlarger doesn't work properly. I've sent the mag an
email suggesting a fix.

I am thinking about chartering a upper 40 foot catamaran in an area that is
close to FL, we live in Jacksonville.  The purpose of this is to convince my
wife and kids (11 & 9) that purchasing a 45 to 50 foot cat is something that
we need to do.  Does anyone have any suggestions on who to call?  I want to
make sure that I get a top notch group since I want my family to get hooked
on this idea.  I have talked to Nauticblue about the Bahamas but that is the
only one so far.

Thanks,

Ernest

You might print out an Abacos charter cruise report that appeared in
Power Cruising and leave it lying around for the wife and kids to
peruse:

If you're thinking of chartering with NauticBlue and can wait a
while, the new 47-footer designed by Morrelli & Melvin looks like a
real winner:

Listee Chuck Johnson gave NauticBlue's 463 a mixed review in a report
posted at Trawlers & Trawlering:

I've enjoyed chartering with Sunsail in the past but they appear to
have closed their Florida base and now offer PDQ power cats only in
the Chesapeake and British Columbia:

Another source that is Florida-based is The Catamaran Company in Fort
Lauderdale. I haven't chartered with them but understand they are
reputable:

Lots of luck with your plan to get the family into a power cat! Keep
us posted on your progress.
