Destiny City Music Collective is a Tacoma 501c3 dedicated to quality, affordable music education and we have been working with Tacoma Creates and TPS on after school music programs. We have been offered an opportunity to increase our programming and are looking for additional instructors who have experience working with kids grade 3-8 and have some experience performing different styles of music and playing a variety of instruments, mainly strings and percussion. Basic knowledge of musical concepts is also helpful. Our program teaches kids musical styles from around the world, and we have a library of instruments including guitars, cello, hammered dulcimer, djembe, darbouka, bongos and much more. Not looking for virtuosos as much as people who understand the universal concept behind all music and can convey those to a diverse group of kids.
