We have the Fujinon TS 1232 and yes they are expensive, but worth every penny when you are underway in rough, rolly, choppy waters.  We based our purchase on online reviews, as well as talking to a few people that actually own stabilized binoculars (not ones that want them), as going to the boat shows and west marine and standing on terra firma doesn't show you a thing about how these binoculars will respond to the movement.  We have used them for a 6 month cruise to the Bahamas, as well as a cruise in Alaska recently, and we are not sorry we spent the money!
