Bellevue Fireworks Celebration

Now in its 28th year, the annual Bellevue fireworks event attracts close to 60,000 people, features live performances including the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra, and ranks among the most spectacular fireworks shows in the Pacific Northwest. Isn’t it fun to know that many of us can watch it from our own backyards?! But if you go, remember to bring a flashlight and arrive early for the games and activities.

The Bellevue Parks Family Fun Zone and Food Court will entertain kids and adults beginning at 2pm with ticketed inflatable rides. Starting at 5pm, the Kid Stage offers free family entertainment including jugglers, caricature artists and mascots. The Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 10:05P. Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the downtown park after 2PM.

Bellevue Downtown Movies in the Park

Join your friends and family for a night of FREE pre-movie entertainment, FREE popcorn, and FREE admission. The summer movie series also features eight non-profit agencies, one per week, which the audience can participate in by donating to the many programs and services the agency provides for our community-in-need. Pre-movie entertainment begins at 7:30pm, and the movies will start at dusk (approximately 9pm). The fun happens every Tuesday night from July 9th to August 27th.

Moviegoers at the Downtown Park are also in for a treat as Molly Moon's Ice Cream is set to open its first ice cream shop--a walk-up scoop shop--in Bellevue this summer http://www.bellevue.com/restaurant_bar.php?id=60 and it's a stone's throw from the park! Here is the summer movie line-up for Downtown Park.

Bellevue ZIP Tour

The Bellevue Zip Tour is the perfect outdoor activity for thrill seekers, families and groups. The zip tour features a series of zip lines and bridges amidst a second-growth forest of Douglas fir and broadleaf maple trees, plus spectacular views of the downtown Bellevue skyline and North Cascades. In all, there are 6.5 zip lines (the half-line is an exit zip to get riders back to the ground) ranging from 76 to 450 feet in length. The highest zip line is 80 feet off the ground.

Riders must be at least 9 years old and weigh between 60 and 275 pounds. Youth, ages 9 to 12, must be accompanied by an adult. Each adult can accompany up to two children. Each tour can accommodate up to 10 riders, plus two, certified guides and takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete. The cost is $70 for youth (ages 9 - 17) and $85 for adults (18+). Advanced reservation is required, but individual drop-ins may be accepted on a space available basis.

The zip tour is located on the south side of Newport Way, immediately west of the South Bellevue Community Center http://bellevue.com/directory.php?id=900, next to the center's existing Bellevue Challenge Course. It is open to the general public, and is available to individuals and groups through a fee-based reservation system.
