If a boat is built from the inside out with the max practical usage of
space and with an eye to production costs, would it end up looking more
"squared off"?

Are there any practical advantages to having a curvy catamaran?

Would interior space and production costs be at a disadvantage by
"rounding off" a boat.

Can form not follow function?

If looks were of primary importance would we not all be looking purely
at classic mono hulls that have their pedigree from sailing yachts?
