Virden Epoxy Tank Coating

I saw an ad in Latitudes & Attitudes Magazine for an epoxy tank repair
coating by Verdin Perma-Bilt. I went to their website, and it appears to be
primarily used for farm and ranch water tanks. Anybody heard of them? Used
the product on a black steel diesel tank?

I have a tank repair project in my near future, and I am starting to
research my options.

Well mystery masked man was smart,
He got himself a Tonto,
'Cause Tonto did the dirty work for free.
But Tonto he was smarter;
One day he said, "Kemosabe:
Kiss my ass, I bought a boat, I'm going out to sea."

Terry, I cannot speak to the product that you mentioned, but over the years
I've heard good results obtained by using a product called Microseal,
Microseal Company. They have a website.

Several years ago there was a product “Por 15” I think.  It was mainly used to repair gas tanks on restoration vehicles.  It was a multi step process to seal the tank.  I used it to seal the aluminum tank on my sailboat at the time.  Diesel.  The actual sealing coating was used on the inside of the tank after it had been cleaned with one of the other products.  I had some of the sealing product leftover and used it on the outside of the tank.  It worked very well.
YMMV
