09/06/12 - Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park -- 1 Blue-winged Teal
in the morning.
West Haven, Sandy Point -- juvenile WHITE IBIS in the mudflat area;
later in the marsh across beach st where it intersects with third ave
(where the stream goes under the road).

09/06/12 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 4:55 PM; The juveniloe WHITE
IBIS circled the marsh on the other side of the street from the
parking lot and landed on the left side of the marsh, in a dead tree.
It landed closer to the middle of the tree and not near the top.  As
it flew, the broad white stripe down the rump and on to the tail was
very evident.
Stratford, Birdseye boatramp -- 3:05 PM; American Avocet at south end.

09/06/12 - Wethersfield, Wethersfield Cove -- 1 adult LESSER
BLACK-BACKED GULL in parking lot with 20 Ring-billed Gull.

09/06/12 - Groton, Bluff Point -- 2 DICKCISSELS, PURPLE FINCH, 25
BOBOLINKS, 2 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES.  Only 25 warblers of three
species.

09/06/12 - Newtopwn, Governor's 'Middle' field -- immature male
DICKCISSEL, end of road by clump of trees across from corn fields.

09/06/12 - Greenwich, Greenwich Point -- Cape May Warbler, Wilson's
Warbler. A Blue Grosbeak flew over heading east, and then presumably
the same one headed west a minute or two later.

09/06/12 - Stratford, Birdseye boat ramp -- American Avocet swimming
in the creek mouth on the south side of the lot.

pavement at the edge of the water (far right of parking lot).

09/05/12 - Stratford. Stratford Greenway, Beacon Point Rd off Birdseye
-- 2:40 PM; AMERICAN AVOCET sleeping with some cormorants on the
almost flooded jetty.  3:30 PM; by itself on flooded jetty.

-- AMERICAN AVOCET, still present at 5:50 PM.

TERN.  Also at Greenwich Point Wednesday morning, BROWN THRASHER.

lower than in past years.
