WARD BOUNDARIES

State Election Board is telling city that the city must bear the cost to have the county "Street Guide" adjusted to reflect the redrawn ward boundaries for municipal elections.  When we did this in 2011, the new ward boundaries were provided to the county election board and it bore the cost of adjusting the Street Guide.

Any of your cities gone through this process?  Who paid the cost?

They changed their rules recently to shift the cost to the cities. No one received notice is my understanding and we didnt find out until after the fact. I have met with the dtate election board about it. Cities will have to bear the costs moving forward is theor position.
