THE DESTINY CITY FILM FESTIVAL TO PRESENT FREE FILM INDUSTRY PANEL

*Tacoma, WA - *The Destiny City Film Festival will present a free film
industry panel at the Blue Mouse at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 23rd,
featuring professionals who work in various aspects of the film industry.
Join us for this free community event and gain the panelists’ insights on
the topic of “Follow the Yellow Brick Road: Finding Your Path into the
Industry.” Partnering with Seattle’s TheFilmSchool and Bigfoot Script
Challenge, DCFF is proud to bring this event to our city – to storytellers,
filmmakers, and film aficionados so they may hone their craft. Jeremy Dodd,
the president of the Northwest Screenwriters Guild and award-winning
writer, director and producer, will serve as moderator for the panel. We
look forward to welcoming Shawn Boxe, an LA-based screenwriter who has
written for HBO’s Silicon Valley and BET’s Boomerang. Joining Shawn
will be Seattle’s own Ben Andrews, who has created numerous award-winning
short films, and who founded the Seattle Film Summit and Renton City
Comicon. Jonathan Keasey, Adjunct Professor of Screenwriting at Seattle
University, has penned films for Sony Studios and Columbia Pictures, and
will bring insight to the panel regarding his 12+ years of experience in
Hollywood. Rounding out the panel is Nike Imoru, an award-winning classical
actress, producer and casting director for film and tv – including 5
seasons of Sy Fy’s Z Nation. This event is free, and pre-registration is
not required. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served
basis. More information can be found at DestinyCityFilmFestival.com.
