I think as long as families are respectful and make sure only one family is on a porch or sidewalk at a time, it should be fine. ...which I don’t think is ever really an issue here anyways. Halloween is also on a Saturday...so some could start a little earlier and we could really spread out. ...or anyone higher risk could go earlier. Weather permitting, houses handing out treats could sit on their front porch or leave candy out, to eliminate everyone touching the doorbell. I know some have talked about making little goody bags...prepackage a few pieces of candy/treats together. I’ve thought about doing this, just no clue how many to make? I think this would help if someone wanted to just leave their candy on porch unattended...or even just make the process of handing out a few pieces easier. Anyways, we are going...our kids haven’t gone back to school yet, but Halloween doesn’t seem that risky to me...at least in our neighborhood because we don’t have big crowds.
