Jim, I’m about to cover my newly finished rails and trying to determine how best to secure the covering. Do yours have snaps, zippers? Thanks!Dom Mucci

When we bought Sanderling in 2007 the hand and cap rails were covered
with sunbrella covers made by the PO. The hand rails had a continuous
line of hook and loop material on the material only (not on the teak
rail) with a break for every support stantion so the seam lay snugged
under the rail. The cap rail had snaps on the inside and outside boat
surface just below the rail. Worked really well and had virtually no
play. We got to the point where we took them off when cruising so we
could see the beautiful bright work; eventually threw them away and
didn't replace them when they became unsightly due to sunlight
deterioration.
