In recent months area city council members and municipal attorneys have had to deal with concerns over concerted efforts to disrupt their meetings and the conduct of city business. It was then brought to our attention that the state had enacted a statute to criminalize these actions and amendments were made int 2021 to expand its application to "political subdivisions". See 21 O.S. Section 280 attached. With this awareness, our Tulsa City Council decided to enact an analogous ordinance that would allow more expeditious enforcement in our municipal courts. I was recently asked to share this on the listserv. So here it is. Enjoy!
