I was wondering if it would be possible to post this or send it out to
the folks on the list serve.  We are looking for Volunteers to help out
at our 2010 Tacoma Pierce County Children’s Water Festival.  Below is
the info.

Thanks

The drinking water program received funding to host a 2010 Water
Festival for 5th grade students in Pierce County this year.  This will
be our seventh year of hosting this event along with City of Tacoma,
Tacoma Public Utilities and Regional Water Association.

We are seeking volunteers to help out with this fun educational event
that teaches students about water and motivates students to care for our
water resources.  Students are engaged in activities that teach them
about where our drinking water comes from, how to protect it, salmon
habit, and other water related activities.

We have approximately 700 students from 8 different schools attending
this event.  The Water Festival will be held on March 23rd at the Tacoma
School District Professional Development Center in Tacoma.  We need your
help.

What type of volunteers are we looking for?
Guides: Individuals to lead the students around to their classes

Classroom Assistant: Help presenters out with their activity

Expo Hall:  Help oversee a table display or other expo activity (expo is
a free area for students to wander around to the various stations) In
the past this included:  Fish painting, bubbleology, the groundwater
model.

This is a one day event.  The hours are approximately 8 am to 3 pm.  We
provide meals for the day.  And also, you are participating in event
that is helping 5th grade students learn about protecting our most
precious resource.

Please contact me if you are interested or need more information.

Thanks
