All, Our community safety teams occasionally encounter incidents involving indecent exposure. Sometimes it is someone purposefully exposing themselves to others. Other times it is an elderly resident suffering from dementia or a resident with mental health issues. I'm wondering whether you've discussed or compiled any guidance on recommended best practices and standard operating procedures for handling such situations. As always, I'm hoping to learn from the experience of other municipalities and lessons learned. Looking for sample policies or guidance, regardless of whether implemented by alternative safety departments or traditional law enforcement agencies.
