Bob Austin brings up some very good points, especially about structural
integrity. The layout now has the salon at the aft area with the pilothouse
on top of it, which leaves most of the bow open for the tender. It's a great
arrangement for cruiseing the icw, you can see everything, all around. It is
not built nearly strong enough to survice a knockdown, nor is the salon. In
a roll, all this junk would be left floating behind the boat after it
recovered. Our plan is to remove the pilothouse, restructure the salon
adding full covered walkarounds and build a pilothouse on the deck ahead of
the salon, much like the kk42. By the way, the only thing this boat has in
common with Kadey Krogens is the designer, the hull is incredible, the
structure leaves a lot to be desired, so now would be the time to remedy
that. We could rebuild everything stronger and keep the original
configureation, but I like the looks of the newer kk's. Any ideas ??
