Check the archives on this. There was a long thread about two years ago on the load on the rode - with formulas and everything. Also Danforth used to publish a booklet called "Anchors and Anchoring" with discussions of wind and current loading on the anchor rode. When I get back to my home computer, I'll see if I can find the data.
