Visitors:
Thanks to Tom B and Ken W for doing a count today.
Weather:
Winds were moderate to strong from the W for the day which typically slows
down any flight but with a good mix of sun and cloud some birds were on the
move today. Temps were quite cool to start at 1C and only getting to a high
of 7C so we're finally starting to see more late fall like weather.
Raptor Observations:
Not a very big flight today with just 276 birds tallied of which 167 were
TVs. However, there were some good quality raptors with a number of Golden
Eagles (11 - 7 of which passed in the 12-1 EST timeframe!) Some Redtails
(78) and Red-shoulders (3) and a late Osprey were also passing by and not
much else.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported.
Predictions:
More of the same for Wednesday so it's hard to say how much of a flight
there will be. Perhaps there's a few more Golden Eagles in the pipeline.
