To All -

A sparkling weekend -- and some good winds -- made for a wonderful weekend
of racing that included four races. However, a turn-out of only three boats
was very disappointing! All raced non-spinnaker. Neither I, nor Lou Spitz,
could catch John Michael in Encore. The good news is that everybody got an
award. The prizes for skipper and crew were Nyack Boat Club engraved instant
cellphone chargers. A really different type of prize! Thanks to Dave &
Denise DeVries, and Prateek Rishi for running the races.

Between then and now we have Open House this coming weekend (Saturday, May
30th). Cruising boats are needed to take potential new Club members out for
a sail. Please contact Amy Villalba if you can help put our Club on the map.

Bring your family, friends, kids and mothers-in-law out for a sail. Starting
in June, the Cruising Fleet will have Friday night informal racing starting
at 6:30 pm. Just show up to race and finish in time for dinner on the patio.
Everybody is welcome.

On Friday, June 19th, 8 pm, a mid-season Cruising Fleet meeting is scheduled
to discuss fleet business. Right now topics might include Fleet
participation for both racing and cruising (what does everyone want?),
should we combine racing divisions 2 & 3, and anything else pertinent to our
Fleet. Have a concern? Want to champion something? Have some questions? Want
to get involved? Then put this meeting on your schedule.

Our next Regatta is the Guy Moulton on July 11th/12th. Note this traditional
4th of July weekend has been moved to a different time slot. Let's get more
Cruisers on that starting line!

See you on the water.
