Managua, 03.10.09.
Mark,
Thank you very much for your suggestion,
yes i visited their site and heard kind words from an other listee who ordered
hull # 6.
Definately to keep in my folder as their reputation of quality seems
well established.
This listee told me that on its maiden "voyage" seas to a
trawler show she encountered rough seas and behaved beyond the expectations of
teh builder so said his wife.
He also mentionned the new Volvo engines which
production started in 2009 ans should be ready to be dropped in the boat by
2010 which fits perfectly his schedule.
Have a great day,
Sinclair

Sinclair,
this is pretty close
to your spec....http://mecat.com/power/powerspecs.htm
doesn't carry as much
fuel as your spec but with 5+ nmpg <9 knots
(http://mecat.com/power/powerspecs.htm), you'll get the range, we'll see if
real world figues stack up, but that's measured data, not projections. might
have to slow down when working in real seas. Not a proven Nordy, but their
sailboats have an excellent reputation for build quality.
looks like there is
a flybridge option, not sure if you spec'd smaller hp diesels would help range
or not. maybe a bit of weight savings could be converted in increased fuel
carriage. As some else suggested, with a water maker you could carry less
water and more fuel.
