Learn about the legacy of Executive Order 9066 in Washington, and commemorate the Day of Remembrance, marking the day when thousands of our Tacoma neighbors of Japanese American descent were ordered to leave their homes and report to Union Station to be taken to internment camps. Gwen Whiting, the Historical Society's lead exhibitions curator, will give you a first look at the ideas for the Remembrance Gallery and talk about the many community members who have made this exhibition possible.
