On the Ohio river we often have that brown stain develop as we cruise. It is very easy to remove with a deck brush dipped in some wood bleach (oxalic acid) and water. Sno- bowl I believe you're referring to. Works great but it is strong so you have to be careful with it. Here is another suggestion from Stray Cat: Available at West Marine and other marine stores. Mary Kates Roll on and Off Hull and Bottom Cleaner. Comes in a 1 qt bottle, use gloves and we used a micro cloth to apply….. Multiple uses including Moustache, barnacles, really great on rust and does not harm the fiberglass, actually seems to give it a shine.
