Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsI was just checking out their website, I see they are touting "24 hr
uniformed security onsite" Well, that's a comfort.

If they don't have guns, the security guards are pretty much decoration.

Last year after a couple of days at Bahia Mar, we moved around to Las
Olas. Much cheaper and the physical layout provides much better security
as anyone on the docks are quite noticeable. Tie up to the fixed docks was
a bit challenging. We asked for the dock furthest from the bridge because
of noise, but my wife had to stand on the top deck to lasso the outer
piling. Just a short walk back to Bahia Mar.
