I spent this past weekend on board at Waterford ... and saturday afternoon I met a young lady with a rowboat, her name is Julia Holmes. She had built the boat herself in her Brooklyn apartment and trucked it up to waterford and launched it and wound up tied up behind my boat. Sunday afternoon she set off on her Big Adventure ... she's planning on rowing all the way to Buffalo, the full length of the Erie Canal, some 300+ miles! Last I heard, she had made it to Canajoharie Wednesday. Anyone encountering her, say Hi for me, and give me an update on her progress.
