About our guest:
Marcus Vann is an in-demand bass player, studio musician, and sideman originally from Tacoma, Washington. Currently based in Los Angeles, Marcus is also a veteran of both the Seattle and Las Vegas music scenes. Marcus has played with a diverse list of artists such as Paul Schaffer (Late Night with David Letterman), The Righteous Brothers, Stephen “Doc” Kupka (Tower of Power), Native Language recording artist Jeff Kashiwa, and international recording star Lani Misalucha, among many others.
He has toured internationally with the Broadway show “Jersey Boys”; performed in featured bands on the ABC, TBS, MTV, and BBC networks, and performed feature shows with symphonies across the U.S. and Canada. Marcus performed regularly at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and in addition, maintains a schedule of corporate events, production show work, lounge gigs, and special events.

About Jacques Willis:
Drummer, Keyboardist and vibraphonist Jacques Willis is an award winning Rock, jazz and fusion artist from Anchorage, Alaska currently making his home in Seattle Washington. He has been described as “exciting, endlessly creative, and looking like a Muppet when he plays” by Earshot Jazz, Keyboard Magazine, and The Stranger respectively.
After graduating with a music degree from Cornish College of The Arts in 2003, Willis has gone on to perform and record with internationally acclaimed musicians such as, Julian Priester, Hadley Caliman, Mike McCready, Duff McKagan, Barret Martin, Skerik, Wayne Horvitz, Mark Pickerel, and, Star Anna to name a few.
Jacques currently resides in Seattle, WA, where he regularly performs with many of the Pacific Northwest’s finest artists. He is in the process of finishing up his first solo record entitled "Jacques-1 Music-0." Expected to be out in early 2014.
In 2003, he was invited to perform on Paul Rucker’s award winning record entitled “History of an Apology.” In 2004, he went onto win Keyboard Magazine’s “Unsigned Artist of the Month” award along with collaborator Ty Bailie, for their record “Extra Double Bonus Good.”
Jacques Willis’s music has been featured on Jazziz, Keyboard Magazine, Earshot Jazz, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, The Stranger, and The News Tribune. Willis’s music is currently on regular rotation at radio stations KPLU and KEXP. Willis tours regularly and has performed in numerous festivals including Bumbershoot, the Earshot Jazz Festival, Taichung Jazz Festival, The Watershed festival and the Wayward Music Festival.
