Hello Colleagues  - Jason and I are attorneys for the County of Los Angeles in California.  We hoping to gather your collective insight about the implications of the President's vaccine announcement on counties.  (FACT SHEET: President Biden to Announce New Actions to Get More Americans Vaccinated and Slow the Spread of the Delta Variant | The White Househttps://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2021/07/29/fact-sheet-president-biden-to-announce-new-actions-to-get-more-americans-vaccinated-and-slow-the-spread-of-the-delta-variant/).  The announcement states that "every federal government employee and onsite contractor" will now be asked to attest to their vaccination status or be subject to testing (similar to CA model), and that "similar standards" will soon be applied to "all federal contractors."
Given that the counties gets significant federal money, have you heard anything on how these requirements may be applicable? Or have any thoughts on this issue?

Thank you and we appreciate any help or information you may be able to share.

Aloha Judy and Jason,

Just looking at that term "onsite" It would seem that any county contract involving onsite presence on federal property would fall under this requirement. But if not an onsite contract, perhaps not. Seems that more clarification is needed.
