Interpretation/application question.
Many ordinances provide for a building setback line that may vary depending on whether the lot is back-to-back with another lot (e.g., 25 foot side yard setback unless it is back-to-back with another lot, in which case the side yard setback is 15 feet). For those who have a similar ordinance, do you interpret your ordinance to mean the two lots must share the same side lot lines, that the rear lots must be contiguous for a certain portion of the lots, or that they must share some common rear lot. Question arises because two lots that share a rear lot line are offset.
