White-winged Dove (Thunder Bay): The bird found by Rob Swainson on
September 5 in his Mountain Bay Drive yard east of Nipigon continues.
American Avocet (Chatham-Kent): One bird was briefly on the beach by Erieau
photographed by Steve Charbonneau on September 22.
American Avocet (Essex): One of the three birds found two weeks by Jeremy
Hatt remained at Essex Sewage Lagoons to September 17.
Piping Plover (Essex): One bird was found by Jason Fan at the tip of Point
Pelee on September 22 that was seen by several observers.
Buff-breasted Sandpiper (Essex): One bird was at Mettawas Park in
Kingsville September 20-21, found by Mike Burkoski.
Buff-breasted Sandipiper (Northumberland): Two birds were at Presqu'ile
September 16-20.
Long-tailed Jaeger (Lambton): A group of lakewatchers had two juveniles off
Ipperwash Beach on September 22.
Franklin's Gull (Lambton): Bill Lindley reported one off Ipperwash Beach on
September 22.
NEOTROPIC CORMORANT (Hamilton): Rich Poort found one at Windermere Basin on
September 19 that remained to at least September 22.
Cattle Egret (KENORA): Joe Sinkowski photographed a Cattle Egret at the Red
Lake Airport September 19-20.
YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON (Toronto): The juvenile bird found September 1
by Marsha Duggan remained all week, seen by many.
Black Vulture (Niagara): Up to six birds were reported this week from the
Queenston area.
Black Vulture (Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry): Robert Scranton reported
one from Guindon Municipal Park in Cornwall on September 16.
Swainson's Hawk (Northumberland): Jon Ruddy photographed an adult over
Presqu'ile on September 22.
Swainson's Hawk (Wellington): Luke Raso photographed a probable bird over
Guelph on September 20.
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (THUNDER BAY): The McKellar Island Bird Observatory
banded one on September 22.
Harris's Sparrow (Algoma): The bird found by Cornelia Poeschl on September
15 on Cullis Rd, between Iron Bridge and Thessalon remained to at least
September 18.
Dickcissel (Muskoka): Davie and Reagan Goodyear photographed one at
Bracebridge Sewage Lagoons on September 16.
Dickcissel (Peterborough): Jeff Stewart recorded one during nocturnal
migration outside of Millbrook on September 21.
