AUDITIONS: BELL, BOOK and CANDLE AUGUST 12th & 13th
Tacoma, WA- Tacoma Little Theatre is holding auditions for its fall
production of Bell, Book and Candle, directed by Brett Carr.
Auditions will be held Sunday, August 12th and Monday, August 13th at
Tacoma Little Theatre. Audition appointments will be set between the times
of 6:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday and 7:00pm-10:00pm on Monday. Callbacks will be
held on Wednesday, August 15th.
Gillian Holroyd is one of the few modern people who can actually cast
spells and perform feats of supernaturalism. She casts a spell over an
unattached publisher, Shepherd Henderson, partly to keep him away from a
rival and partly because she is attracted to him. He falls head over heels
in love with her at once and wants to marry her. But witches,
unfortunately, cannot fall in love, and this minute imperfection leads into
a number of difficulties before they find out if they can live happily ever
after.
Please prepare a contemporary comedic monologue not to exceed 2 minutes
(please no self-written or stand-alone). Part of the audition may include
a cold reading. Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Roles
available are Gillian Holroyd (female, late 20’s-early 40’s), Shep
Henderson (male early 30’s-early 40’s), Aunt Queenie Holroyd (female mid
40’s-mid 50’s), Sidney Redlitch (mid 40’s-mid 50’s), and Nick Holroyd (male
early 20’s).
To reserve an audition time, email tlt@tacomalittletheatre.com, or call our
Box Office at (253) 272-2281. Please provide: your name, phone number,
email address, preferred audition time, and playable age. Bring a headshot
and resume to your audition.
