This Saturday, April 15, artists, salmon advocates and community members
will gather for a reception (free and open to the public) to celebrate the
closing of the Honor: People & Salmon art exhibit, and the gift of wild
salmon in the Pacific Northwest. Honor: People & Salmon conveys both the
magic and mystique of wild salmon populations that swim through the heart
of our region’s landscape and identity - as it also highlights their
endangerment as a result of extensive habitat degradation and destruction,
climate change and other factors.

Artists and advocates across the Pacific Northwest will come together
through their creation of art to evoke support for restoring salmon and
orcas, and the many communities that honor and cherish these emblematic
species. Healthy salmon populations deliver irreplaceable benefits to the
people and places of this region.

WHAT: ‘Honor: People & Salmon’ art exhibit reception. Register here.
WHO: All are welcome. This reception is free and open to the public. Light
refreshments and appetizers will be served.
WHERE: Kittredge Gallery, University of Puget Sound
WHEN: Saturday, April 15, 2023, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
