It was interesting to read all the submissions on this topic. What I have
found is a close correlation between the number of weeks spent doing the
loop and the total cost. In my case two of us spent 25 weeks on the loop
and spent $18,260 which works out to $730 per week in 2006 dollars. In 2013
dollars adjusting for fuel costs of $4.50 per gallon it would be $924. An
equivalent size trawler with four people aboard took 54 weeks on the loop
and spent $990 per week in 2013 dollars. If you want to know more please
email me for a PDF that has the details.
