Dear IMLA Members,
We have received a request from an IMLA member regarding regulations on paid parking in municipal jurisdictions.
Specifically, they are interested in learning whether any municipalities have implemented a policy requiring commercial developments to maintain a certain number of free parking stalls for customers while allowing excess parking stalls to be used for paid public parking.
If your jurisdiction has implemented such a program, they would greatly appreciate any insights. Additionally, they are seeking examples of municipal codes addressing this issue, as they have had difficulty finding relevant case law or existing regulations.
If your county or city has a policy on this topic, could you kindly share a copy? We will compile the responses and forward them along to the requesting member.
Thank you in advance for your help and support.
Best Regards,

  • Edward
