Hello Gators,
Options… If you like options, this is the right
Tri Club for you! We have lots of
options for you to consider including workouts (sometimes even options within a
workout), seminars/discussion groups, and events. So read through this week’s newsletter,
including the “Mark Your Calendars” section at the bottom and decide which
options work best for you!
IMPORTANT: Also… We
are going to try a new meeting location
for this Saturday’s ride… It will be the Longford Park/Reynolds’ Dog Park at 100 Longford Rd. in Phoenixville. The benefit of this location is that it has
rest rooms, a water fountain, and a paved parking lot. Watch for a separate e-mail with maps,
directions, etc. provided by Tim Pfluger.
This week's news topics include...Accomplishments… Running for chocolate!!Who’s Next?… She’s
certifiable!!About a Gator... Gotta like the photos!!Mark Your Calendars… Ironman discussion group, Bike skills clinic, and
Transitions seminar coming to a location near you!!
Welcome!: It is with great pleasure that we welcome Diane Lynch to the Gators. As Diane has had a Tim Pfluger/Chris
Reiter-like start by attending every Tri Club workout so far this week, many of
you have already had a chance to meet her.
But if you have not, I’m sure you will at a Gator get together sometime
soon!
Accomplishments:Hot Chocolate 15K (Philadelphia): Flying the Gator flag this past
weekend (in gale force winds, by the way) were Heather Tracey and Maureen Pinkerton
who both successfully completed the Hot Chocolate 15K run in Philadelphia on
hurricane-like Saturday, April 2. After
also completing the ice cold Love Run, I think these ladies both deserve some
optimal conditions the next time the approach a starting line! Great job, Heather and Maureen!Love Run: We had one additional finisher
that was not included in last week’s Gator News… Frank Moffa also had a successful day in completing the half
marathon. Way to go, Frank (and sorry
for not including you last week)!
Who’s Next?: We do not
have any race participants this weekend, but we do have a Gator taking on a
challenge… Maribeth Baker is in New
York city this weekend for the April 10-11 USAT
(USA Triathlon) Coaching certification course. Have a great time, Maribeth!
About A Gator: Who knew he
could sing? Learn all about Doug Schmidt in this edition of “About
A Gator”! And make sure to check out the
photos at the end!
