To all in the bar, it is with sadness that I have to advise you of Malcolm's passing on Saturday (NZT) after a tragic accident at home.
I don't have to tell those here of his influence on the design of the modern craft we love so much. You can visit his website at www.tennantdesign.co.nz
Fair winds Malcolm.

A sad day, indeed! Malcolm will be missed widely, including on this List.
At http://www.tennantdesign.co.nz, there is this message posted:
It is with great sadness, that I must inform everybody that Malcolm
Tennant passed away on Saturday (May 10).
He died in hospital after an accident at his home in Titirangi.
Malcolm has been involved in the design of power and sail multihulls
for many years, and it was his life long passion. Malcolm's
influence on the design of Multihulls in New Zealand and around the
world is undeniable and he will be missed by many in the industry as
a pioneer and as a friend.
Malcolm Tennant's funeral will be held this Friday the 16th of May
near his home in Auckland NZ
If anybody has any questions I can be contacted on tony@tennantdesign.co.nz
Kind regards
Tony Stanton
If you knew Malcolm or admired his work, please post your comments
here or send them to me directly. I'd like to prepare a page of
tributes similar that what was done for Skipper Bob at a sister site:

Some time ago on this forum someone suggested using a sailing cat as
a PC. I am curious. What turn of speed and agility could one get from
this kind of behaviour?
