Hi folks...
Well, it's official, we have a booth at the 2017 Dayton(?) Hamvention, number
6708. It is located in Building 6, which appears to be a large tent
on a paved surface southwest of the three main buildings. You can find it
on the Hamvention web site if you follow the vendors tab to the map.
We will have electricity available, and being 'outside', we should be able
to have
antennas in the booth that may actually hear for demo's. Anything that
can attach
to the table or is free-standing is OK, but I do not know how high
the ceiling of the tent will be.
As always, we need to staff the booth for the show, and while Mike, N8QHV, will
be there a lot, there is a need to set up and tear down the booth on Thursday
and Sunday, as well as give Mike periodic breaks throughout the
weekend. A lot of you will be attending the show, and even an hour at
some point
will be appreciated.
Please let me know if you can find some time over the busy weekend to help out.
I'll get you a Vendor Pass for your trouble. With the new site, parking passes
are said to be unnecessary.
You can reply to me at n8zm@mvus.org.
Thanks for your support of MVUS.
Oh, and don't miss the VHF Forum on Saturday at 3:15!

Jim,
Would you forward this to the Hamvention committee:
The Hamvention website still has the old Hara Arena map, and not the new map.
See http://hamvention.org/vendors/ and select the Published Maps link.
Found this when looking for a sit map - which I did not find. The flea market map looks ok - updated.

Booth tracker is not yet ready to open up for Flea Market spaces. You can go online and fill out a request form and email it to fleamarket@hamvention.org. It will take a few days for them to respond. They literally have HUNDREDS of requests for spaces. Since everything is new this year, accounts have to be created from scratch. They are close to working out the bugs in Booth Tracker and will go online within the next couple of weeks. But they are processing orders now. Be patient. It's taking a bit longer than expected. Place your order with them now so you have a better chance of getting the space(s) you want.
Currently, there are plenty of Flea Market spaces available. Inside Exhibits spaces are SOLD OUT. No doubt it's going to be an interesting show this year.

HI Joe...
Thanks for that. I'll pass it on.
The maps you are looking for are under the vendors tab at the top, and on the
Inside Exhibits page. You'll have to scroll down a bit to get to them.

Jim,
Would you forward this to the Hamvention committee:
The Hamvention website still has the old Hara Arena map, and not the new map.
See http://hamvention.org/vendors/ and select the Published Maps link.
Found this when looking for a sit map - which I did not find. The flea market
map looks ok - updated.

They are actively accepting orders now. Go to the web page and drop down the Vendor tab. You’ll see the latest info when you select Flea Market.

Hi folks...
Well, it's official, we have a booth at the 2017 Dayton(?) Hamvention,
number
As always, we need to staff the booth for the show, and while Mike, N8QHV,
will
be there a lot, there is a need to set up and tear down the booth on
Thursday
and Sunday, as well as give Mike periodic breaks throughout the
weekend. A lot of you will be attending the show, and even an hour at
some point
will be appreciated.
Please let me know if you can find some time over the busy weekend to help
out.
I'll get you a Vendor Pass for your trouble. With the new site, parking
passes
are said to be unnecessary.
You can reply to me at n8zm@mvus.org. mailto:n8zm@mvus.org.
Thanks for your support of MVUS.
Oh, and don't miss the VHF Forum on Saturday at 3:15!
