I am really surprised that no one has brought up this powercat design, the Buzzards Bay 33, a colaberation of Multihull Development and Chris White Designs
....from their website:
"The number one design and build priority for every MD boat including the Buzzards Bay 33 is sea-keeping ability. That is the biggest reason we have invested in the catamaran hull. Unlike much of her competition however, MD gave the Buzzards Bay 33 a pure displacement hull design, optimized for unforgiving conditions. Shaped by award winning multi-hull designer Chris White, this hull form differs from her competitors, even those that use displacement hulls, by combining narrower hull sections (enabled only by our dedication to modern composite technology), round bilge shape, and generous tunnel clearance. In practice, her hulls knife through the seas, while her great tunnel clearance avoids wave impact. Net Result: More time spent cruising in far greater comfort

Click on the layout key and look down thru the photos. This vessel reminds me of the Bertram 31 theme, a wonderful combination of inside-outside communication in time on a vessel. What a great boat this would be in the Bahamas or Keys, or summer in the Northern climes, etc.
