We have been boating for 40 years. 30 years ago my daughter and I raced the Olympic Tornado and competed in the Olympic trials for the 1980 Olympics. We finished so far down the list that we are trying to forget. After cruising our Vagabond ketch 19000 miles (mostly singlehanded) over 16 years, we graduated to a trawler 8 years ago. Our Defever 49 RPH is an excellent cruising boat and we spend several months each year in the Bahamas and Keys. Our catamaran interest is still alive.
