Hi all, A few questions... 1-I haven’t been tracking the Arms of Hope pick up info but as of today, have somethings to donate....is the pick up Monday? 2-We have a leak around a bathroom vent...any recommendations on a roofer or qualified handyman that does small jobs? 3-Does anyone see that would be interested in making a basic piano bench cover for me? Norwest roofing- we just had our roof replaced and they were great and would recommend. Denny’s plumbing in Boerne also diagnosed a leak for us this year as well, unrelated. They are great too. The pickup by Arms of Hope was a bit late but did happen about 4 PM on Saturday. For whatever reason, the truck was late.  I know they often get caught in traffic or have too many pickups scheduled to meet a specific time schedule. I plan to call them about that problem because of the confusion it caused.  In the future, there might need to be some discussion about whether having them come on Saturday is the best way to deal with donations.  Sadly, several people circled through the neighborhood and helped themselves to the donations set out for Arms of Hope, taking the larger more valuable items in some cases.  We might want to schedule a pickup on Monday after a garage sale if donating it the main purpose.    Even though we had fewer homes participating than we did last spring, I think most folks had a successful day.  Seems like one fun side benefit is the number of neighbors who get out and meet each other! Do remember that if you have large item donations, Arms of Hope will be happy to schedule a pickup with you if you give them a call.  Julia
