We've stayed there twice (Oct. 2011 the last time). I would stay there
again. We had no problems either time. It is a very poorly lighted urban
park area and there are a few homeless types or locals hanging out in the
area however no one approached us or the boat and no other boats there had
any problem. Joliet reminds me somewhat of the south ferry landing in
Portsmouth that has a greater population of homeless who seem harmless. Free
power is nice however the wall is rough in some spots. I don't recommend
leaving the boat at night to go to the casino across the river but a few
folks do...I don't do casinos.
