Well it probably IS the ole memory that goes 1st.  One can't find a factory
site for Scimitar.  If you go to: http://www.yachtworld.com/helms/index.html
you will find info but no layout.  If you click on Scimitar Power Catamaran you
can get 'full specs' and pics of the interior.  Clicking on YACHTS and
viewing the for sale listing for the 3650 gets a bit of design philosophy, wherein
they talk about rear propulsion cats "hobby horsing and squatting."  Is this a
problem on power cats?  No reviews I've read seem to indicate this.
Helms Yachts has sold at least one; it was for sale a month or so ago in
Emeryville, CA; the broker tried to make a case that the single head with cockpit
entry "had obvious advantages"  Huh? What is one missing here?
Any comments/experiences will be appreciated...Jon Karna

Helms Yachts has sold at least one; it was for sale a month or so
ago in Emeryville, CA;

It still is for sale, at $299,000:

Sure would be interesting to know why the original owner put her up
for sale. There may be nothing wrong with the boat.

Would anyone be interested in pooling resources to see if we could
arrange a short charter/sea trial of the used Scimitar 36 that is for
sale? Say three days and two nights on San Francisco Bay.
