Deadline April 3, 2009 Metal artists from the states of Washington and Oregon are invited to submit work for consideration. Artists' work may be of mixed-media as long as metal is an important component. Anchoring Metal-Urge are two upcoming stellar jewelry shows at the Tacoma Art Museum: Ornament as Art: Avant-Garde Jewelry from the Helen Williams Drutt Collection and Loud Bones: the Jewelry of Nancy Worden. The Tacoma Art Museum is a leader in fine art jewelry has the only permanent collection of work by Northwest jewelers in the region. Selected artists will exhibit in a variety of venues throughout Tacoma during the dates of June 6 - September 20. The City of Tacoma will produce a comprehensive brochure of activities including all the venues!
