Tacoma Green Drinks, a professional and social networking opportunity for the region's environmental community, practically guarantees a warm and pleasant evening on Thursday, August 7, when we meet at The Hub, 203 Tacoma Ave S . We'll kick off at 6:00 pm, although you're always welcome to arrive early and help us stake out a claim to some space in the bar area. The evening is made possible thanks to our August sponsors: the Green Tacoma Partnership (http://www.greentacoma.org) and Cascade Land Conservancy (http://www.cascadeland.org). The Hub, a cycling-themed bar, is located on the 11 and 13 Pierce Transit bus routes (note temporary route detours due to construction on Market) and has ample bike parking available. If you can't manage some alternative transportation, at least bring along a pal and ditch that whole single-occupancy vehicle look. You know you'll feel better. Consider packing along some extra business cards and maybe a clip-on name tag, although we have those tacky sticky ones you can wear.
