Does anyone have experience with the FP Maryland Power Cat 37?  If
so, looking for suggestions on how she will handle 5 adults for a
week long trip.

Roy, it would depend on where, how friendly the folks were with each other
and the weather during the week.

The Moorings has/had several of the FP37's in charter service in Florida,
the Bahamas and the BVI. Typically they are chartered by one or 2 couples or
small families. I doubt if you would be comfortable for a week with 5
adults.

They are fairly economical depending upon the load, power option and the
right hand. At 18-19kts they can use 16 gals/hr with a pair of 165's. With
the smaller 125's top speed is about 16 kts with a fuel burn of 12-14 gph.
However with the smaller engines at 8-9 kts they are quite good burning 2/3
gph. We managed to coax 950 miles out of the tanks on one delivery!! The
fuel burns varies quite a lot depending on the load as they are very
sensitive to the amount of gear on-board. Some guests come with 10 bags,
rent dive gear with 2/3 tanks apiece, provision like they were going around
the world and then wonder why the boat is a little sluggish!!

Pretty wet even over the flybridge in a 4/5 ft or greater sea at any speed
above 8/9 knots. I don't own one but do have a few thousand sea miles on
them delivering them about Florida to Bahamas and the Caribbean. Nice boat
in protected waters..not offshore, IMHO
