Come experience the art of Gyotaku (fish printing) through this hands-on, 2-hour workshop at the Foss Waterway Seaport.
This Japanese art form originated in the mid-1800's and a core tenant requires the use of the actual fish to obtain the image.

Participants should bring a sense of adventure and their enthusiasm. All materials including actual fish are provided. The instructor, Bruce Koike first printed a fish in 1985 and has worked in the public aquarium industry, directed and taught Aquarium Science at a community college, and commercial fishes. He also earned a Master's degree in Fisheries Science from Oregon State University.
