What: Oak Tree Park Mulching Event
When: Saturday June 20th from 9am- 1pm
Where: Oak Tree Park on S. 76th and S. Pine (directions below)

Join the Rotary Club, Metro Parks Tacoma and the Washington Native Plant
Society Stewards-in-Training on Father's Day weekend for a Mulching Event at
Oak Tree Park.

Thanks to the work of many volunteers, the entrance to the park has already
been planted with native species. On the 20th we will continue with site
restoration by:

  • giving the plants additional TLC
  • removing returning invasive species
  • mulching the area.

Bring family and friends. Snacks and refreshments will be provided, as well
as tools and gloves (but if you have goods you prefer to use, please bring
them!). Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing.

R.S.V.P. to Anna Thurston by email at anna.thurston@ssstewardship.org, or by
phone (253-566-3342), no later than June 13th.

We hope to see you there!
