The engine
room appears to have significantly less head room in
the KK 44.
This is a good point - the Nordhavn "Maintenance
Strakes" (the bulges in the hull next to the engine
that enable stand-up room around the engine) make a
huge difference in engine access. It's a great feature
that is well worth a slight tradeoff (for the record,
PAE has, in the past, claimed tank tests demonstrate a
tiny performance enhancement. Difficult to believe).
