Thank you for joining the Census Stakeholder letter to the House OGR & Senate HSGAC Committees calling upon them to promptly hold oversight hearings with regards to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross’s decision to include a citizenship question on the 2020 decennial census. In total, over 300 organizations joined the letter.

The final versions of the letter were sent to the committees at 10 a.m. this morning, and they are attached for your records. Additionally, attached is the press release by the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights announcing the letter and the organizations that signed. Please feel free to share the letters and press release on your channels, on social media, with elected officials, and with whomever you think would be most effective.

As many have stated, advocacy on this issue will be a marathon and there will be future opportunities to engage. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me at john.foti@seiu.org.

Best wishes,

John Foti
