The new climbing documentary, Meru http://www.grandcinema.com/films/meru/
offers spectacular views from film footage documenting the pursuit of
renowned alpinists to summit one of nature's most pristine and untamed peaks

  • the Shark Fin on Mount Meru. Featuring Conrad Anker, Grace Chin, and Jimmy
    Chin.

Opens Friday, August 21 at the Grand Cinema.

There will also be a community film discussion hosted by a panel of local
climbing enthusiasts including  Tod Bloxham, General Manager & Head Guide at
Edgeworks Climbing; Martin Babare, Tacoma Mountaineer Climbing Leader &
Instructor; Jason Edwards, AMGA Certified Alpine Guide; and Mindy Roberts,
Safety Chair for Tacoma Mountaineers.

Join us on Monday, August 24th following the 6:30 p.m. screening for this
in-theater discussion.
